CCISD held Computer Science Week Dec. 9th-13th as part of Code.org's Hour of Code, showing students that anybody could learn coding. Students learned coding basics and completed daily activities, like graphic design.

Our retiring superintendent Dr. Joe Burns was honored in a surprise at last week's Military Affairs Dinner for his years of work in our community, including with Fort Cavazos and military-connected students in Cove.

Tuesday night, the CCISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the hiring of Carolyn Jackson as the new principal at House Creek Elementary, in addition to approving the expansion of a key R.I.S.E. Program partnership.

3rd Grade will have the opportunity to present a Christmas Musical performance. The concert should last about 30 minutes. We encourage students to wear "Christmas colors" f possible. All attire must follow district/campus dress code as stated in the Student Handbooks. We will meet in the Parsons Gym no later that 5:45 PM.
