If you are in grades 3rd through 5th you can participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Books contest. Students need to read 5 or more books from the list. The students will then be eligible to vote for their favorite Bluebonnet Book in January. If students read 5 books and take a quiz about the book, they will be invited to the annual Bluebonnet party in May. Click here for a current list of Bluebonnet books.
Six Flag Read to Succeed
Six Flag Read to Succeed will open in November. Students will need to read a minimum of six hours, record their minutes on a log, and return their reading logs in order to be eligible for a free ticket to Six Flags. Register here. – Due to the pandemic, the Six Flags Read to Succeed reading program has been suspended; however, if you have tickets from last year you will be able to redeem them until August 31, 2021. Schlitterbahn Waves of Pages Reading Program
Schlitterbahn Waves of Pages Reading Program will open in November. Students will need to read a minimum of 10 hours (600 minutes). This is a 10-week program that will allow students to earn a free ticket to Schlitterbahn Water Park. Due to the pandemic, the Schlitterbahn Waves of Pages Reading Program will be postponed till the 2021- 2022 school year. Thank you.
Lost/ Damaged Books
If a book is lost or damaged it must be paid for. Please contact Mrs. Morrow if you have questions about the cost of a lost book or need to make a payment.
Students visit the library to check out library books, listen to stories, or learn valuable library skills.
